I'm getting an error message that says “This application has failed to start because d3dx9_32.dll was not found." What is d3dx9_32.dll?
The d3dx9_32.dll file is the main .dll file for Direct3D, the legacy DirectX display engine that was not packaged by default with Windows Vista releases. The Direct3D rendering engine for 3D in applications powers programs like games, graphics editing apps and drawing/illustration apps.

This error means that the d3dx9_32.dll or d3dx932.dll file has been removed or changed and the program you're trying to use can't 'find' it.
How do I fix this error myself?
